Conversations about and support around perimenopause and menopause are typically heteronormative and cisgender focused and don’t always represent the diverse voices of our communities.

A new series of free evening workshops delivered by photographic artist Marge Bradshaw will bring members of the LGBTQI+ community together to explore, share and connect through a range of photography and creative activities. The sessions aim to challenge the narrative about perimenopause and menopause in Greater Manchester.

Find out more at the meet the artist event on Tuesday, 25 April, at Bolton Community and Voluntary Services (CVS). Drop-in anytime between 6.30pm - 8.30pm to see what’s going to be happening.

Workshops are free and start on Tuesday, 2 May, at 6.30pm, and take place every Tuesday night (with some breaks) through to July.

There is an option to get involved on a one-to-one or online basis if you don’t feel able to (or can’t make) the face-to-face sessions but still want to be involved.

Workshops will be at Bolton CVS, a three-minute walk or wheel from Bolton train and bus interchange (search for Bold Street, Bolton BL1 1LS). It’s fully accessible, welcoming and friendly.

This project is funded by Arts Council England and supported by Bolton at Home, Indigo Gender Service, NHS Bolton and other community partners.
