Interview Date: Interviews will take place on 23rd July 2024 via Video Conferencing / or in Person in Manchester

Indigo Gender Service is a joint service delivered by LGBT Foundation and gtd healthcare.

Indigo is setting the national standard for a pioneering, localised and person-centred primary care-led trans health service that collaborates with trans, non-binary and gender variant people to reach their full potential.

Indigo’s Head of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the service. Through strategic planning and operational best practice, the role will ensure that all patients have equitable access to the service and lead on liaising with Indigo’s various premises and delivery locations throughout Greater Manchester (GM). This pivotal role requires a strategic approach to enhance and streamline operational processes and to foster sustainable growth while striving for excellence.

They will provide effective support and leadership for all service delivery staff and work collaboratively with the Indigo Clinical Lead and the Indigo Business Manager to foster a dynamic culture that values lived experience and personalised care.

They will lead on: reporting, patient and community engagement, waiting list management and policy development – having an oversight of all operational aspects of Indigo, including chairing the majority of the key operational meetings.

As this role focuses on working for a service specifically designed by and for trans and non-binary communities, we believe lived experience of being trans and/or non-binary and/or having experienced NHS gender transition services will be hugely valuable to the role. We particularly welcome applications from People of Colour, as well as older (50+) people as colleagues from these backgrounds are currently underrepresented in our organisation.
